Sports Car Market Insider’s Seminar
The 15th Annual Sports Car Market (SCM) Insider’s Seminar “Chat With the Experts” took place on Saturday morning of Monterey Car Week at the Gooding & Co. auction pavilion in Pebble Beach.
SCM Publisher Keith Martin moderated the panel, which included Carl Bomstead, Miles Collier, Mark Hyman, Donald Osborne and Steve Serio. Carl Bomstead, is noted for his knowledge on American Sports & Muscle; TV personality and Opera-trained Donald Osborne on European Sports & Racing (excluding Ferraris); Colin Comer on Post-War Sports and Muscle; and Steve Serio (owner of an Aston Martin dealership and independent service shop) is an authority on Ferraris and Late-Model Exotics.
Topics discussed were:
- Is $100,000 for a BMW tii way too much or just an early buy?
- How can a fiberglass 308 GTB be worth $250,000?
- Will MGBs and Triumphs be cheap forever or should you buy one now?
- How long will late-model-Ferrari 6-speed mania last?
- Is the Barn Find Craze over?
